Bike and Scoot it Breakfast - Thursday 21st June

The ‘Bike It and Scoot It’ breakfast is happening next Thursday! This breakfast will be open from 8am and will close at 8:45am. Last entries will be at 8.35am.

This event will only be open to pupils who cycle or scoot to school on Thursday 21st June. This includes bikes with or without stabilisers.

Bikes can be locked and stored in our bike shelter and scooters can be placed in the scooter areas. However, if the capacity exceeds the spaces provided, then bikes and scooters can be placed in the ‘quiet area’ for the day (the grass area where the bike shelter is situated). However, if you decide to leave the bike/scooter unlocked then it is up to you, as parents, to take responsibility for this action, or you can take the bike/scooter away with you.

If your child wants to cycle and scoot to school on this day and receive a free breakfast, then please complete the slip below so we know the number of pupils expected to provide a breakfast for. Please return this slip to the school office by this Friday (15/6). Entry can only be accepted to those who pre-book.

It’s lovely to see so many children travelling to school by bicycle and scooter but just a polite reminder that bicycles and scooters are not permitted to be ridden in the playground for the safety of everyone.

Stay safe travelling to school, November 2017

In an assembly on Monday 13th November , the JTAs reminded us all that this winter to make sure we stay safe we should:

Be bright,        Be seen,          Be warm

Walk to School Week

October 2017

All pupils are invited to take part in the Walk to school week, starting Monday 9th - Friday 13th October 2017.

Children are encouraged to walk, cycle or scoot to school. This campaign is to help improve our levels of fitness as well as reduce environmental pollution linked with the use of cars. The school is encouraging all pupils and families to be good stewards of the world's resources.

Pupils are also invited to take part in the competition to design a hat, gloves and scarf for a child to walk to school in the autumn or winter, so that they stand out and stay safe.

All entries are to be handed in by Friday 13th October.

Here is the template for the competition.
